Nestled within 58 sprawling acres, this property lies just an hour north of the vibrant heartbeat of New York City, in the midst of horse country. As your vehicle navigates the gravel driveway, the city's frenetic pace is instantly left behind, replaced by a sense of tranquility.

The project focused on an 8,000 square foot new build residence, complemented by an original working horse barn, jumping arena, and charming guest cottage.

The client envisioned a space where sophistication seamlessly meets comfort. The design embraces a cool palette and embodies a unique fusion of contemporary style with subtle nods of Equine and Japanese aesthetics, striking a perfect balance between elegance and timeless allure.

Every site line and surface is considered. The Venetian plastered walls with metallic willows flowing down the staircase to the foyer, changes at every angle, and at different times of day and from different light sources.

The concept and design pays tribute to the property’s original name  - “Three Willow Farm”

Nuanced details celebrate the equestrian essence of the home. A bronze and horsehair sconce hangs above a saddle-like stool with a custom suede topper.

Details like this get discovered in the design process, giving a project soul.

Japanese metallic-glazed ceramic wall tiles are a stunning feature, changing color throughout the day and adding reflective quality in the Butler’s Pantry connecting the Kitchen and Dining Room. The plastered ceiling pulls the cabinet color from below welcoming continuity and depth.

Custom millwork adorns the refrigerator. This cabinet showcases meticulous craftsmanship inspired by furniture pieces. The same custom stain color applied to the island and cabinetry in the Butler's Pantry is used for visual connection.

With large rooms, comes expansive ceilings. A multi-stepped large crown molding was designed to frame each space, a thoughtful and elegant transition from ceilings to walls. The same attention to detail extends to the baseboards and casings.

Ombre painted walls envelop this Japanese inspired Powder Room while the bas relief limestone wall brings nature inside with its grass pattern.

Incorporating a custom-designed ottoman alongside the timeless Utretch chairs breathes fresh vitality into a beloved classic.

Fornasetti wallcovering envelops the room for an elegant and organic setting.
